Backpacker type hotel right in the middle of Khao San. The Sawasdee Bangkok Inn Hotel is actually down a small alley so you avoid most of the noise of Khao San, but don’t expect complete silence. Seems a good place to stay if you’re on a tight budget and want to be right in the heart of
While the rooms are reported to be clean, everything is quite old and the hotel shows it’s wear. Expect grey sheets and possibly some moldy smell in your room. The staff is quite friendly and helpful and the breakfast is said to be pretty decent. There is also an internet café at the bottom of the hotel with good broadband access and cheap rates.
Personally I wouldn’t stay here but only because I am beyond that phase of my life and require a bit more in my accommodations. If I was in my twenties again and traveling on a budget I would most definitely stay here just based on the location. It’s really a great hotel if you want to be in
