The Imperial Boat House Hotel is located right on Choeng Mon Beach, which is a bit quieter and away from the main beach Chaweng. This makes The Imperial Boat House Hotel nice for families and those who want a retreat that is still close to the main action.

There are two restaurants at the hotel, one Thai and one International. Both have very good food, but both are a bit expensive. The hotel itself is set among beautifully landscaped gardens which adds to the ambiance.

Some of the villas are actually converted teakwood rice barges which makes them quite unique. All of the rooms have great views and the boat shaped pool with cannon and elephant fountains is very nice both for swimming and for sunbathing.

I’ve read mixed reviews about the staff, however all of the recent reviews in the past year have been positive and even rave reviews about the quality and attentiveness of the staff. I feel the price is also good for this part of Samui, almost a bargain.
